Clear and compelling messaging makes the difference when communicating who you are and what you offer. Words on paper, on a website, or on the vows you speak on your wedding day represent your thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Your message comes alive and delivers with intent.

It is more than just words on paper and images on the internet. It is personal. I hope you enjoy the blog posts and learn more about the written word and how it can best speak for you and your business.

A blogger who doesn’t blog? Ridiculous!

Mar 27, 2025

Or is it? Turns out blogging is tough – even for someone like me who does it professionally! Writer’s block hits hard when your mind races, but the words do not flow. Yet here I am, cranking out monthly blogs for everyone from lawyers to life coaches, service providers to manufacturers. I’m always preaching about how blogs boost your SEO, keep customers engaged, and build your brand… while my own blog has been gathering dust for six months (I’m not exaggerating). Well, that changes right now…. But coffee first.

What is a Blog?

Let’s start from the very beginning, a very good place to start (wink-wink). In a blog post written in 2022, I explained:

A blog is a collection of posts, or “entries,” each covering a specific topic. A blog can be part of an existing website or its own standalone site. Each blog post is primarily composed of written content, although it may also include images and videos. This sets blogs apart from other forms of shared content, such as an Instagram account (which features images and videos) or a YouTube account or vlog (comprising videos).

Why is Blogging So Hard?

Writing a blog is not as challenging as other tasks we face as business owners or marketing professionals.  These include my personal favorites, such as bookkeeping, networking, and maintaining a clean office.

Your blog lives and dies by its written content. Making consistent, high-quality posts your top priority isn’t just good advice—it’s essential for success. When you commit to delivering valuable content on a regular schedule, you build both audience trust and search engine visibility.

It can be hard without a planned schedule, also known as a content calendar.  A content calendar can help you stay focused on topics and associated keywords, creating successful branded blogs that hopefully drive visitors to your site and, if applicable, encourage them to purchase products or services.

Once you have established a list of, say, 3-5 blog topics, it’s time to write.

Okay, Let’s Talk About AI- Artificial Intelligence.

utilizing AI for content creation

As a copywriter and blogger, I am frequently asked about utilizing AI for content creation. I suggest to clients who want to take a stab at writing their own blogs to use AI generatively,

AI tools can transform your blogging by generating an editable draft, expanding on key talking points, and suggesting a tone and voice that you might not have considered. Utilizing AI in a supporting role, you can overcome writer’s block and produce content more efficiently while keeping your unique voice and perspective.

However, the most effective approach combines AI’s generative capabilities with your human touch—using it to handle the heavy lifting while you refine, personalize, and inject authenticity. Remember that AI works best as a creative partner rather than a replacement, helping you maintain consistency without losing your voice in the words.

In summary:

  1. AI can stimulate your thought process for topics.
  2. It may help you determine the best times to post based on your products or services. 3. It is okay to ask for a bit of help (wink). I can help you with the content-heavy lifting.
